Warhammer Fantasy
The Dark Elves, who call themselves Druchii, are a blood-thirsty type of elves. Instead of having dark-colored skin and light hair as is typical in most modern adaptations of Dark Elves, most of them have pale skin and black hair. They live in a region called Naggaroth, and worship the Lord of Murder, Kaela Mensha Khaine. They despise the other races, most especially the High Elves.
Warhammer 40,000
The Dark Eldar in Warhammer 40,000 is an advanced elf-like race whom, like their Dark Elf equivalents in Warhammer Fantasy, are vicious and sadistic. They are often pirates or mercenaries, and their armies' main advantages lie in speed and technology.
